-Brian Tracy
Goals and goal setting and the desire or intention to achieve said goals and objectives are undoubtedly the most imperative piece of the puzzle when attempting to achieve anything worthwhile in life. And as Brian Tracy pointed out here, it’s actually taking the first step, and then following through, that will separate the winners from the losers. Clearly defining what you want is the starting point of everything and weight loss is no different! The power of your goals and the power of your intention will totally contribute to the clarity and precision of your goal setting. So, if you really want to achieve permanent weight loss, you need to see yourself completely “thin” or “lighter” with absolute clarity! It can happen to you. You’ve heard it before; life is a journey not a destination…
Enjoy the journey, but know where you’re going, it’s easier to get there!
Brushing your teeth, washing your hair, regularly “showing up” for work, and sleeping are all habitual rituals; they are daily practices that promote or provide either assurance, functionality, or the ability to continue to have or use something you probably want. to keep… Stop doing these rituals and decadence, breakdown or unemployment occurs, which only causes a downward spiral of unpleasant events. Although it sounds a little funny, the reality is that your body works or DIS-works the same way, practice proactive and effective rituals daily and ta…da… either you achieve, maintain or achieve the object or goal wish. Exercise and nutrition are often confusing topics, usually shrouded in mystery, but that doesn’t have to be the case.
Knowledge and the application of knowledge are not the same thing; they are quite separate and distinct. Knowing how to do something and doing it is where the line is drawn and having an intention, coupled with a goal, acts like the proverbial driver behind the wheel…and placing the intention in the subconscious mind is like pressing the the accelerator pedal, which in turn produces an action or OBJECTIVE.
Do you remember when you were young and wanted something so much that nothing else mattered? That thing that was driving you was desire and if you did indeed obtain that “object” of desire, well, that was the intention that caused you to go out and obtain or “receive” that object. Goals or objectives motivate and generate oomph, you know… that get up and go, they are the steam that wakes you up, gets you to work, helps you focus and aids you in the process of achieving success. Emotion married to purpose is the fuel for accomplishment. Develop a sense of purpose, a reason why and combine that purpose with your emotionally stimulated desire and intention, put that desire, intention and purpose in writing and since we are talking about weight loss, that could be that desire. With laser focused precision, imagine a “clear vision” of how you see yourself in a “fight” state, we call this “visualization” and stay focused using all these components and guess what… It will happen… Yes , it takes time, patience. , perseverance, effort and action are necessary, but you will reap what you sow, that is an infallible fact. Positive reinforcement, now is the next phase… Any suggestion you implant in your subconscious is used, if it is negative…. Negative results, if it’s positive… Positive results! If you know what to do but can’t seem to do it, you’ve probably been sending negative or conflicting messages to your subconscious. Behaviors produced by subconscious conditioning are more commonly called habits. Fortunately, you can reprogram your subconscious mind with positive instructions and become a creature of positive habits, just as easily as you can become a victim of negative habits. It all starts with a conscious decision and written goals.
Pay attention to the intention
The mind… It’s a terrible thing… to waste, of course! I am always amazed by the similarities we all share and, on the other hand, amazed by how different we are. So simple, and yet so complex… and when it comes to exercising our mental abilities, well that’s where some have signs of mastery and others, as if a sleeping giant was sleeping! I have worked with thousands of people over the years and what is remarkable is that in all the training and nutrition programs that I have designed with such a singular purpose, almost all of them fall into states distinctively similar in spirit, or they possess the desire and intention to accomplish something great; or they feel like they are losing something that they really want to keep! The sine qua non condition or the result is that if you want to get started in the amazin
