Ancient Bachelor host Chris Harrison got married to his fiancée Lauren Zima after three years of dating.
Harrison, 52, and Zima, 35, said “I do” in a wedding ceremony in Napa Valley, Calif., on Oct. 14, and celebrated their wedding with a grand reception in Austin, Texas. on Saturday, November 4. People reports.
The Bachelor Nation alum confirmed that he and Entertainment tonight personality were engaged via Instagram in October 2021. “I love you @laurenzima,” Harrison wrote next to a photo of him ask the question. “The next chapter starts now!”
A second photo presented the pair clinking glasses of champagne as the Illinois native showed off her new diamond. “We say it to each other all the time, and we repeated it during an unforgettable moment this weekend: I didn’t know love could be like that,” Zima wrote via Instagram at the time. “You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, defending me, and asking me to marry you. Let’s move on to the next amazing chapter, and everything in between.
Harrison later said exclusively We that he was “incredibly happy” having asked the questionsharing details of their “incredibly romantic weekend getaway,” revealing he proposed to the entertainment reporter “in a very special place that means a lot to both of us in Napa Valley at Brand Vineyard.”
The couple began dating in 2018, making their official relationship on the red carpet at the pre-Screen Actors Guild party in January 2019. Zima revealed during an episode of “The Viall Files” in July 2019 with Nick Viall that she had made the first move towards the Texas native.
“Oh, I messaged him,” she confessed. “It just gave me a different vibe.” … It was pretty obvious. He talked about picking up his kids or something. Somehow he grew up single, I think. And then I said something like, “I’m single now,” and he was like, “Oh.” But I said it in a more eloquent way. My God, I don’t know. Either way it was communicated …I opened the door and he came in.
After sliding into Harrison’s DMs, the couple went out for drinks and Zima began to see the reality TV personality in a new light. “Not in a negative way…but I never looked at him and I never thought (if) I found him attractive,” she explained to Viall.
Rumors of a possible commitment between the lovebirds began to swirl in April when Harrison posted a photo of his now-fiancee wearing a white dress via Instagram.
“‘I’d stop the world and melt with you’ @laurenzima there’s no one I’d rather celebrate love with and I’ll be your plus one at all times,” he captioned the snap.
Harrison quickly shut down the speculation after fans became confused about the statement on social media, writing: “Wow you’re attending a wedding together…doing a chicken dance and your fiance! I love this bridesmaid though❤️.
Harrison – who was fired from THE Bachelor franchise after defending the candidate of season 25 Rachael Kirkconnell’s racially insensitive comments – was previously married to his college sweetheart, Gwen Harrison. After 18 years of marriage, the now exes, who share son Joshua, 19, and daughter Taylor, 16, called it quits in 2012.
