Heidi Klum feels like there was a role waiting for him in Sofia Vergara crime drama miniseries Griselda.
The model and TV personality was all smiles on the carpet at the America’s Got Talent red carpet event Tuesday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., and she spoke with ET about her friendship with her fellow judge.
While Klum said she was really happy for Vergara about the success of Griseldashe also had a small bone to pick regarding a possible missed casting opportunity.
“I was upset because I was like, ‘Why couldn’t I have been one of your cousins?’ I could have been a cousin who doesn’t speak, because obviously I don’t speak Spanish,” she said with a laugh. “But I could have, you know, not spoken! I was upset.”
“I could have been one of those gorgeous girls too! I would have loved to. But she said, ‘Nein,'” Klum added.
In Griselda, Vergara played the role of infamous drug lord Griselda Blancoknown as the godmother of cocaine, in a well-received six-episode miniseries which debuted on Netflix in January.
Although they did not star together in Griselda, the two will reunite again for the next season of America has talent.
Although Klum says she and her fellow judges also spend a lot of time together off set.
“I mean, we all do other things too – so, you know, sometimes when I’m not here, I do a lot of other shows… and so I have a lot of kids too. So I “Wish I could spend more time with (my co-stars). But I feel like we see each other quite often,” Klum said. “I always have dinner with Sofia or go to her house and, you know, we do girl things together.”
ET also spoke with Vergara, who looked forward to sharing her time with Klum during long production days and helping each other achieve the perfect look.
“We look at each other and say, ‘You need more lipstick,’ or ‘Your hair isn’t done right.’ We always take care of each other,” Vergara shared. “I like this.”
“We always try to have fun in between, because you go crazy on set for too many hours,” she added.
Season 19 of America’s Got Talent premieres May 28 on NBC.
