MrBeast, a popular YouTuber, Jimmy Donaldson, has the habit of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of products in his videos, all on YouTube. He is currently testing another comparison: YouTube versus X.
On Monday, Donaldson released his first video directly to This video was uploaded to YouTube and has garnered an incredible 211 million views.
“I’m curious how much advertising revenue a video on would do, so I’m reloading it to test it. I will share the review of the ad next week,” Donalson said in an X article.
As of Tuesday morning, the video had been viewed at least 52 million times on X, and there are many more now.
Elon Musk is trying to recruit media personalities and artists to turnvideo-first platform. In a blog post published on January 9, X said it would continue to fund content partnerships, producers and original content beyond 2024.
Last week, X announced plans to introduce three new shows, with former CNN anchor Don Lemon, former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and sports radio analyst Jim Rome as hosts.
Donaldson will likely join X – he’s an Elon Musk fan
The hope for Musk’s Company X is that he can convince Donaldson to leave Youtube to X, which would be a significant success for Musk. Donaldson, also known as Mr. Beast, has become a well-known and lucrative figure on the Internet in recent years, largely thanks to his YouTube channel, which has more than 231 million members.
Jimmy Donaldson expressed his ambitious goals, saying that working alongside Musk was actually something he had always dreamed of and hoped to do. Donaldson even mentioned that he hoped to one day match Musk’s accomplishments.
