Earlier this year, former “Superman” star Dean Cain, long known as one of Hollywood’s only openly conservative stars, fled the liberal state of California in search of a better life in Las Vegas, Nevada. Today, Cain opens up about the “debauchery” he witnessed during his decades in Hollywood.
Cain talks about Hollywood “debauchery”
“I have my opinions,” Cain recently said, according to thread of faith. “We see a lot of debauchery in Hollywood. I myself have been debauched; I’ve done things I’m not proud of. I asked for forgiveness for these things and changed my ways. There is so much to offer about being there.
Although Cain admitted that it’s possible to live a “godly” life in Hollywood, he made sure to add that it’s much easier to do so away from this world.
“You don’t find a lot of (Christian faith), certainly not overtly, in Hollywood,” Cain, 57, said. “That’s why I make all the faith-based films that I do, because I want these messages to be out there. … I think these films are really important.
Cain focuses on faith-based films
These days, Cain focuses on making faith-based films that “stick” with audiences.
“They can affect someone’s life and speak to an experience that someone understands,” he explained. “And if that happens, I did the right thing by making this film.”
In that same interview, Cain admitted that developing his relationship with God was a “process” for him.
“We all have our own process,” Cain said. “You can grow up in a home full of Christian teachings, go to church every Sunday and still ask yourself these questions – and it’s natural. I believe it’s a natural thing, and that everyone’s relationship with God is subjective, unique, and how they get there…is their own journey.
“And I will just say that God and I have a lot more conversations now than when I was 25,” he concluded.

Cain flees California
Cain had already explained why he decided to leave the liberal world of California.
“I had to leave California,” Cain said The messenger last month. “California has gone crazy, in a sense. There have been so many. Look at taxation. Look at the regulations. Look at the stupid laws that have been passed.
“There were things I didn’t agree with, and I voted here, lived and worked here my whole life,” he continued. “I finally got to a point where I was like: I’m not OK with this.”
Cain went on to say that he has no regrets about moving to Las Vegas.
“It’s a big saving,” he added. “It all made sense. I am so happy. It is so much easier to travel from Las Vegas than from LAX. It’s incredible. It’s the quietest place I’ve ever slept in my life. When I got here and saw the traffic, I said to myself, “What is this foreign substance?” I don’t like it anymore. I don’t care about that at all. It’s good.”
