Dave Chappelle has a few US congresswomen who are fangirls in their own right – and as one of them is Rep. Lauren Boebertyou couldn’t blame Dave if he asked her to keep her hands in plain sight!
Boebert and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna took a selfie alongside the comedian Thursday at the Capitol — and the Colorado congresswoman turned the moment into a platform for her anti-LGBTQ views. She captioned her IG post: “Just three people who understand there are only two genders 😄.”
A source with direct knowledge told TMZ that Dave had no intention of getting political with the photo shoot, and that it was a spontaneous moment. He’s in Washington DC for an “Art is Activism” event at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts… which is, famously, Dave’s high school alma mater.
We’re told he went to meet friends — not politicians — who work on Capitol Hill, and ended up meeting several members of Congress, including Lauren and Anna, who rushed over to take photos.

You have to imagine that Dave had a bunch of jokes running through his head when he saw Rep. Boebert – given all the buzz earlier this year, when she was become super practical in the dark with her date at a Denver theater. By watching “Beetlejuice”, no less!
