Salty Dog Cocktail
Why we love it: Our most popular recipe of the year (and for good reason), this vodka cocktail is always a crowd-pleaser. With a salty edge, tangy grapefruit juice and the perfect fizz of sparkling water, it’s a balanced bev while still delivering a bit of alcohol.
Hero ingredient: You can’t make savory dog without freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
Simple Green Salad Inspired by Via Carota
Why we love it: Simplicity is the key to this all-time favorite salad from Via Carota in New York. The crunchy romaine is the green machine, combined with Camille’s extraordinary shallot vinaigrette. Top with nuts for texture or creamy feta for richness.
Hero ingredient: It’s the Dijon mustard that makes this dressing so addictive.
Green salad with sesame vinaigrette
Why we love it: Salads are so much more than a side dish, and this recipe proves exactly that. With a sesame vinaigrette that calls for tahini as the main player, it’s hard to resist wolfing down the bowl in one sitting. Pair it with grilled chicken or fish, or simply serve it with your favorite dish.
Hero ingredient: Pistachios are an elite salad topping – change your mind.
Healthy Oatmeal Cookies
Why we love it: This year, I opted for desserts with nourishing ingredients. These healthy oatmeal cookies have inspired me to be a little more intentional with what I put in my recipes. Whole wheat flour and old-fashioned oats act as complex carbohydrates that help these cookies fuel your day in a nutrient-rich (and totally delicious) way.
Hero ingredient: Coconut flakes are a must-have ingredient to enhance the texture of these cookies.
Limoncello Spritz
Why we love it: 2023 was definitely the year of the spritz. For non-Aperol fans, this limoncello spritz is a total win for any spring or summer gathering. With a splash of champagne, a squeeze of lemon juice, and sparkling water, this drink gets better with every sip.

Hero ingredient: If you haven’t tried cooking lentils yet, now is the time to do so.
Baked Oatmeal with Spicy Peach and Pecans
Why we love it: I may be biased, but this baked oatmeal was the breakfast recipe I repeated throughout 2023. Spicy peaches became one of my new favorites with their sweet and savory flavor. Add all that to a hearty dish of oatmeal and you just might become a morning person.
Hero ingredient: I prefer fresh peaches in this dish, but frozen will do in a pinch.
Lemony spring pasta salad
Why we love it: Perhaps my favorite internet craze of 2023 was pasta salad — and this spring version is, without a doubt, the most elite variation. With rich parmesan and crunchy arugula, it’s hard to put together a meal this good.
Hero ingredient: Generous amounts of lemon make this pasta bright and tangy and give Me ready for spring…
Carrot and orange cake
Why we love it: There is nothing not love this carrot cake. The secret ingredient? Orange extract brightens this light and moist cake. (And the cream cheese frosting is simply on another level.)
Hero ingredient: Orange extract…need I say more?
Zucchini pasta
Why we love it: This recipe was the pasta dish of the summer in more ways than one. The bright lemon flavors and nutty toppings pair incredibly well with a variety of seasonal squash. Garnish with fresh mint or basil for an aesthetic and tasty touch.
Hero ingredient: The zucchini is very underrated.
Cinnamon Baked Apples
Why we love it: Light desserts are all the rage in 2023, and these baked apples are no exception. Serve it with crunchy granola and a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra touch of sweetness. Trust me, these are some of those hard-to-resist dishes that you will never regret making.
Hero ingredient: Honeycrisp apples are my favorite.
Tortellini soup
Why we love it: When fall arrived this year, this tortellini soup recipe was perhaps my most cooked recipe. (However, when it comes to soup season, it’s hard to resist the urge to indulge in every meal.) Filled with nutrient-rich vegetables, it’s so much more than just a side dish. ‘accompaniement.
Hero ingredient: Roasted red peppers are the secret trick.
Ricotta board with pears and pistachios
Why we love it: Charcuterie can sometimes get too complicated when you involve a multitude of ingredients, but it doesn’t have to be that complicated. With a simple starter like this ricotta board with fresh pears and crunchy pistachios, entertaining will be easier than ever.
Hero ingredient: I am a ricotta lover to death.
pumpkin chocolate chip cookie
Why we love it: PSL season or not, these pumpkin cookies are a year-round favorite. With chopped dark chocolate and a little flaky salt, they’re not too sweet but totally satisfying in every bite.

Pumpkin and Ginger Pie
Why we love it: Last, but certainly not least, this Pumpkin Ginger Pie is arguably the best twist on this classic holiday dish. Spicy, creamy, and surrounded by a candy-like crust, it has pretty much everything you could ask for in a pie.
