Associated Press: “About two dozen Democrats have indicated they will not seek re-election, with half running for another elected office. Meanwhile, only 14 Republicans said they were not seeking another term, and three were seeking elected office elsewhere.
“More retirements can be expected after the holidays, when lawmakers have the opportunity to spend time with their families and make decisions before re-election deadlines. But so far, the numbers don’t show that House dysfunction is leading to a mass exodus from both parties.”
