Kid Rock recently announced he was dropping his boycott of Bud Light that he launched after the brand teamed up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a partnership in April. He’s now firing back at former Fox News host Megyn Kelly after she criticized him for abandoning that boycott.
Kelly tears up Kid Rock
During an appearance on Newsmax, Kid Rock was asked about comments from Kelly, who recently criticized him for ending his Bud Light boycott.
“This is like the only successful boycott that Republicans have ever been a part of,” Kelly said on his SiriusXM show. “It was the only time they stayed together and were really heard. And because Kid Rock and Dana White want to give it up, we’re all supposed to give up our principles now. »
“And I love Kid Rock. In fact, I do. I like this guy, but he’s wrong. He can do whatever he wants. If he wants to drink a Bud Light, he can. He doesn’t speak for all of us! she continued. “Many of us are still deeply offended by this brand’s partnership with the man who makes his living making fun of women, Dylan Mulvaney. Not to mention what they’ve said about their core audience and customer base that they’ve “become too brotherly and want to get away from them.” Who at Bud Light thinks we do what Kid Rock tells us to do?

Kid Rock hits back
Asked about his comments, Kid Rock was quick to respond.
“Well, first of all, I love Megyn,” he began. “We’ve been friends for a long time, but she’s wrong about this. In saying that Dana and I do not speak for conservatives, neither of us has ever said otherwise. You know, I already explained myself on another show about Bud Light.
“I’m pretty sure they got the message,” he added. “Do I agree with what they did? F no! And we held their heads under water for a while and hurt them. But you know, I’m not the type to keep hitting someone when they’re in a bad situation, when there are many more companies that deserve this treatment.
“And, you know, Dana spoke to me specifically, as a very good friend, about what they’ve done over the years with Folds of Honor,” Kid Rock continued. “So is Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, for that matter, and countless other things. And I say to myself, I understand. They made a mistake. All right. I don’t need to kill them.

Kid Rock ends Bud Light boycott
This comes a few weeks after Kid Rock announced he was ending his Bud Light boycott.
“At the end of the day, when you step back and look, yes, they deserved a black eye and they got one. They made a mistake,” Kid Rock said. Tucker Carlson earlier this month. “So, do I want to put their heads under water and drown them because they made a mistake?” No, I think they got the message.
“I hope that other companies will also be victims of this but, ultimately, I don’t think that the punishment they are receiving so far does not fit the crime,” he added. “I would love to see us back on board and grow bigger because that’s the America I want to live in.”
