Kendall JennerCoachella’s 818 tequila brand has sparked a storm at Coachella – because a local bar owner claims his crew ruined one of their beloved murals…even though we hear it’s trash BS and saw the contract saying they actively agreed and acknowledged the potential for damages.
A watering hole in Indio, California called Club 5 Bar allowed Kendall and co. moved into their establishment last week for a pop-up attraction to plug 818…with a bunch of custom decor and decorations…including a huge decal-like sign outside.

It looks like they painted the 818 mark all over the wall, but that’s not the case – it’s actually a separate piece that they stuck on the wall… which is why the owner is now pissed. See, there’s a mural of AC/DC underneath that they recently installed, which he says is now damaged because of the way Team 818 set it all up and left it behind her.
Randy Franco — one of the owners of Club 5 — issued a scathing press release Monday accusing Kendall’s company of recklessly applying this piece of 818 vinyl to their mural and leaving it scratched/chipped by the suite, allegedly without any attempt to restore it.
He tells TMZ that he and his partners gave 818 permission to use the wall and put 818 on it – but claims he asked them to put a protective layer underneath so their shit wouldn’t touch the wall/mural…which he claims they didn’t do. Instead, Randy claims that Team 818 basically stuck this panel to the wall paint with adhesive…and when they removed it…it cracked a lot of the paint off the wall. OG mural below.

As for what exactly he plans to do about it…it’s unclear. Randy says he hasn’t even contacted 818 directly about this yet… saying he’s only spoken with the event coordinator (a third party, it seems), who he says , expressed frustration with how this was handled.
But here’s the thing… People with direct knowledge of the signed contracts and emails exchanged on this subject tell us that the Franco family actually checked on the premises when Team 818 was packing up. . stuff at the end of last week.
We saw an email sent by Carmen Franco — Randy’s mother and another co-owner of Club 5 — this appears to show that she explicitly said she felt fine when they left.
The email notes that she gave a tour of the premises and even specifically points out the mural – which Carmen said looked stunning to her. So our sources tell us that all this bitching and whining from the son at this point makes little to no sense.
It seems like any issues they might have will have to be addressed another time…and another way, perhaps even in court. We contacted Kendall’s camp…no response.
