Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom you have wedding plans on the horizon!
This extremely gorgeous and surprisingly undramatic (considering Katy’s history) couple has been going strong for years.
Previously, their wedding plans had failed – and badly. 2020 was not their year, or anyone’s.
Now, nuptials are back on the menu, as the two are reportedly scouting locations.
Orlando and Katy’s romance dates back nearly a decade
In 2016, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s steamy romance took the internet by storm.
It arguably wasn’t Katy’s most popular era, but even her detractors associated the relationship with a positive turning point in her public brand.
Katy and Orlando took a break in 2017, but quickly rekindled things. In 2019, these entertainment powerhouses got engaged.
Orlando proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2019, and she said yes.
This means that next month their engagement will have lasted five years.
That’s a very solid length of time for an engagement. They have more than proven their compatibility.
At first, they planned to get married quite quickly. But they couldn’t find the venue planned for 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic obviously didn’t help matters, and they had to postpone things.
The positive side is that they moved forward and moved in together. In August 2020, they welcomed Dausy Dove Bloom, their first child.
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s wedding plans for 2024
Finding happiness without marriage does not mean they have given up on getting married. According to a report from The mirror, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s wedding plans will soon bear fruit.
Their inside source says 2024 will likely be the year Katy and Orlando get married. At least that’s the plan.
“They are happier than ever and everyone is predicting that they will get married soon,” our source reported. “Maybe even on Valentine’s Day, which is the anniversary of their engagement.”
An additional report from World of heat shed more light on what Katy and Orlando would have planned.
“They both originally wanted to get married in Japan,” the source said, “but it’s so far away and that makes things even harder to plan. Doing something closer to home in California , makes a lot more sense.
The source continued: “Their place in Montecito is nine acres, so there’s plenty of room to do it there. Plus, it’s close to Los Angeles, so all their showbiz friends could easily attend.
Will Katy and Orlando have a second child?
“It’s very possible that Katy is a pregnant bride,” the source speculated. “It’s no secret that she really wants to have baby number two, and this year really makes the most sense.”
The source noted, “She finished her big residency in Las Vegas, so she has time in her schedule.”
And the insider added: “Plus, at three years old, Daisy is now old enough to understand everything. She’s also ready to be a big sister.
“Having Daisy has totally united them: they are more in love now than they have ever been,” our source congratulated.
The source detailed, “At this point, Katy is staying pretty tight-lipped about their plans, but her friends are all saying this will be the year they make them official.”
Only time will tell if this is how their wedding plans will pan out. After all, things have gone wrong before.
