The American people need their leaders in Congress to act on priorities that matter to the nation and the world.
On Tuesday, I met with Ukraine’s president, who is leading his people in a battle for freedom against Russian aggression. He came to America to ask us for help. Yet congressional Republicans won’t act to help.
The Israeli people are fighting against terrorists and waiting for our help. Yet congressional Republicans won’t act to help.
We must address the situation at our southern border, and I am committed to trying to resolve the problem. We need funds to strengthen border security, but Republicans in Congress will not act to help us.
We must continue our economic progress and ensure that inflation continues to fall and job growth continues to increase. That means avoiding self-inflicted economic crises like the government shutdown, which Congressional Republicans are pushing us toward in just weeks because they won’t act now to fund government and critical priorities to improve the lives of the people. American people.
There is a lot of work to do. But after wasting weeks searching for a new House speaker and having to expel their own members, congressional Republicans are left for a month doing nothing to address these urgent challenges.
I wake up every day focused on the issues facing the American people – real issues that impact their lives, as well as the strength and security of our country and the world. Unfortunately, House Republicans do not join me. Instead of doing anything to improve the lives of Americans, they are focusing on attacking me with lies. Instead of doing their job on the urgent work that needs to be done, they are choosing to waste time on this baseless political operation that even congressional Republicans admit is not supported by the facts.
