This summer, we heard claims that Jen Shah was acting as a mentor to her fellow inmates.
The narrative here is that many of them came from disadvantaged backgrounds. And Jen, as a Bravolebrity who once ran a wire fraud empire, could teach them a thing or two.
But not everyone (others) behind bars has a bloody story. Infamous Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes is also there.
And, thanks to Jen, she’s got a killer set of abs. Allegedly.
Apparently, Jen Shah hasn’t given up on being a influencer when she showed up at prison.
As we know, she is serving a six and a half year sentence at the federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas.
His nationwide telemarketing scheme stole from countless people. The scam particularly targeted vulnerable elderly victims.
Perhaps it’s only natural that she would not only serve time alongside the infamous Elizabeth Holmes, but also become a bit of a trainer.
Page six reports that Jen orchestrates workout classes in the prison yard.
She also does the dishwashing report, offering makeup tutorials with products she buys at the commissary.
Apparently, Jen also managed to throw some kind of “sushi” birthday feast. Not with authentic sushi, unfortunately.
But the inability to choose her own meals is only part of the price she must pay for her crimes.
In July 2022, after hours of insisting that she was innocent, she pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy. In addition to her 6.5 year sentence, Jen must return $6.5 million in money she siphoned from her victims.
Jen belongs to that special group of criminals who aren’t so rich that they’re safe from prison, but who can afford to have their own publicist to tell crazy stories about her heroic deeds behind bars.
Jen’s publicist, Chris Giovanni, jokes that she is now “Jen Fonda” and offers a “Shah-mazing” ab workout to her fellow inmates.
Others in the minimum security prison camp can also learn the cardio exercises and ab flexors from the fallen Bravolebrity.
“She created it in prison,” Giovanni says of her workouts. “It started as something she did to improve her fitness.”
He adds: “As she came in, she lost a lot of weight. She developed the Shah-mazing abs class.
According to Giovanni, “All the women started coming to her in the yard and they were doing workouts.”
“Elizabeth (Holmes) was there with other inmates, and it became a habit there,” Giovanni continues. “Jen Fonda, that’s her nickname in there.”
And it’s not just about fitness. Jen is a reality TV star, after all.
“She’s helped a few women: They might wonder, ‘How much (makeup) should I wear?’ “She gives a little advice,” says Giovanni.
“She reads to pass the time. She spends most of her time writing a diary. She has over 90 pages of her experience. She does what she can (to) pass the time,” Giovanni continues.
Apparently, she plans to write her own self-help book one day.
“She gets up, she prays, she works in a library,” describes Giovanni. “And then, in her free time, she mentors other inmates who are trying to get their GED. The ladies developed good relationships.
We must emphasize two things: Page six is a very famous platform for entertainment news, and that Giovanni’s job is to do PR for Jen Shah.
What does that mean? Well, we can all draw our own conclusions about Jen’s situation.
Meanwhile, some of us are wondering if she’s going to do a workout video after her release. Are these still things? Yes. They are all on YouTube or similar platforms. Maybe Jen will start a Patreon.
