Trump is ramping up his use of fascist language at his rallies, and it’s time for the media to wake up and call it what it really is.
Trump said at his final campaign event: “We have a lot of work to do. They are poisoning the blood of our country. That’s what they did. They are poisoning psychiatric institutions and prisons around the world. Not just in South America. Not just the three or four countries we think of. But all over the world, they are coming to our country. From Africa, from Asia, from all over the world, they are pouring into our country, no one looks at them, they are just coming, crime is going to be huge, terrorism is going to be, terrorism is going to be, and we have built a huge piece of wall.

Much of the mainstream press has decided that it will not deviate from its standard model of horse racing coverage for elections. The horse racing model requires a near-obsessive devotion to polling, treating both candidates as equals, and normalizing each contest so that they are issues that can bring focus groups together to discuss them.
Asset This model benefits because it normalizes the likely Republican presidential candidate, who faces four criminal trials.
Trump intentionally echoes Nazis and fascists, because a fascist victory is the only path left for him to avoid criminal conviction.
It’s a legitimate question to ask: What does Trump have to say? How far will he have to go until the mainstream media stops putting their own power and profits before the country?
Trump echoes Hitler’s language.
The country needs a free press to be up to the task.
Instead, they are acting as a fascist threat to the United States of America, as usual.
