Guy Fieri is one of the Food Network’s biggest stars, starring Parade alleging that he has a net worth of around $70 million, but that doesn’t mean he gives his sons a free life. In fact, he’s doing the exact opposite, as he tries to raise his boys with the kind of work ethic his own father instilled in him as a youth.
Fieri raises his sons to work hard
“I told them the same thing my dad told me,” Fieri said. Fox News. “My dad says, ‘When I die, you can expect me to die broke and you’ll pay for the funeral.'”
“And I told my boys, nothing that we’ve built…that I’ve built, you’re not going to get unless you come and take it from me,” he added.
Fieri and his wife Lori have been married since 1995 and are the parents of two sons: Hunter and Ryder. They are also raising their nephew Jules, whom they took in after the 2011 death of Fieri’s sister, Morgan, who died of metazoic melanoma.

Fieri’s teen fights back
While Hunter and Jules are both adults away from home and launching their own careers, 17-year-old Ryder recently challenged his father’s rules about hard work.
“My youngest son, Ryder, is a high school senior getting ready to graduate, or you know, he’s going to graduate in the spring,” Fieri explained. “And he said to me, ‘Dad, this is so unfair.’ I haven’t even gone to college yet, and you’re already insisting that I need to get an MBA? Can I just finish college? »
“Shaq said it best,” Fieri continued. “Shaq said it once about his kids. He said, ‘If you want that cheese, you gotta give me two degrees.’ Well, my two degrees mean, you know, college. So they are on their way.
Fieri’s 27-year-old son Hunter has already signed his own contract with Food Network. He is currently working on his master’s degree and is the top salesman for Hunt & Ryde, his family’s wine brand.
“I think the kid is going to explode,” Fieri said proudly of his son.

Fieri gives his sons old family cars
Fieri is known for being a car enthusiast, so fans would probably assume that he bought his sons fancy, expensive cars when they were 16, but that’s not the path he chose to take. follow.
“All the kids were able to drive a family car from the time they got their license until they earned their money,” Fieri said. “And so Hunter and Jules drove my dad’s old green pickup truck.”
When Ryder turned 16, Fieri gathered the teen and his friends for what the young man thought would be the big reveal of a sleek new car.
