If you spend any time in a car, it’s essential to have a charger that can recharge the batteries of your devices.
The problem is that there are many car chargers that promise way more than they can deliver.

There are three things I look for in a good car charger:
- I want enough power – 100W – to charge my MacBook Pro.
- I want three ports (two USB-C ports and one USB-A port) for maximum compatibility.
- I want a car charger that doesn’t overheat when pushed to its limits.
THE Baseus 160W car charger answers all of this. It’s currently 17% off on Amazon, so you can buy it for $50.
This car charger has three outputs:
- USB-C1 output: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/5A (maximum 100W)
- USB-C2 Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2.22A, 12V/2.5A, 15V/2A, 20V/1.5A (Maximum 30W)
- USB-A Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 10V/2A, 12V/2.5A (Maximum 30W)
- The charger comes with a quality 1 meter 100W USB-C to USB-C cable.
On the front of the device is a subtle blue LED. It’s bright enough to let me know it’s working, but subtle enough to not be annoying in the dark.
Each port can produce the maximum power regardless of the load on the other ports, giving the car charger a maximum power of 160W.

The 100W power is enough to charge my MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16-inch (not at 140 W, but 100 W is more than enough on the go).
As for temperature management, the device remains below 50°C, even when fully loaded.
I am very happy with the Baseus 160W car charger. This is a quality car charger that delivers on all its promises, safely and reliably.
