Fans aren’t ready to say ‘bye, bye, bye’ to ‘NSync – and the boy band is well aware of the desire for a reunion.
Members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Low spear, Joey Fatone And Chris Kirkpatrick have been hinting at a reunion for decades, ever since they first split in 2002. However, their messages have been conflicting at times.
“The answer is no”, Chasez told exclusively Us every week in December 2017 when asked if they were going to get back together. “I know people want to hear a different answer, but we felt like we did what we set out to do.”
The boy band, which created in 1995 and released their first album two years later, occasionally getting together for special events. They paid tribute to Timberlake at MTV Video Music Awards 2013 and I sang with Ariana Grande at Coachella in 2019 – without Timberlake.
In 2023, the five members collaborated on a new song, “Better Place”, for The trolls are regrouping, sparking more interest in the group’s future. Fatone said exclusively We in September 2023, the track was “100%” a love letter to their fans, while Bass said a tour or other reunion should happen “naturally”.

“No” for now
Chasez said We in December 2017, the former members of the group are “all still friends” and they “talk” about their reunion on stage. While insisting it was a “no” for now, he hinted the singers could change their minds while touring.
“Whatever we do together, we must do it because we are inspired to do it. It’s authentic. And I feel like that’s part of why we connected with our audience,” he explained. “(We want) to continue to be honest with our audience and our fans. I would never want to take anything from someone that doesn’t feel authentic to me. It’s kind of how we approach everything we do.
Chasez noted that when the team did their performance at the 2013 VMAs for Timberlake’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, it was “for the right reason” and reflected. “When your friend is honored and you’re a part of their life and it’s a big part of their life, we wanted to share that and we wanted to support them in that moment,” he added. “It was fun.”
A tour without Justin?
Fatone revealed in June 2019 that a tour without Timberlake was not out of the question after fans had a positive reaction to their partial reunion at Coachella this spring.
“You know, we haven’t had any conversations about anything yet.
